Pyrénées.

I have only traveled through the Pyrenees massif twice, mainly in the Hautes-Pyrenees. Geographic distance obviously limits my opportunities to go there, but the hikes I was able to do made me want to return! Between the monumental cirques of Gavarnie and Estaube on the French side, and the Ordesa canyons dominated by Mont Perdu in Spain, the diversity of landscapes is immense. For me, this is just the beginning: my goal is to return for multi-day treks, as there are so many valleys and summits left to explore on both sides of the border.
