Chablais.
Nature photography, mountain landscapes and hiking. Photos of Chablais.
It's a massif I still know fairly little, but one I'll have the chance to explore much more thoroughly now that I live in Haute-Savoie. Stretching on both sides of the border, French and Swiss alike, the Chablais may not be the highest massif in the Alps, but it offers a multitude of summits above 2,000m waiting to be discovered: the Dent d'Oche, the Cornettes de Bise, and the Roc d'Enfer, among others. Between its numerous high-altitude lakes and its unusual terrain, it's a territory full of surprises. And don't be fooled by its modest altitude: the ground can quickly prove steep and highly technical in places, which is more than enough to add serious spice to future hikes!
