Beaufortain.

A land of alpine pastures dominated by the iconic Pierra Menta, the Beaufortain is a massif wilder than it first appears. While famous for its great dams, such as the one at Roselend, and its legendary mountain passes, it offers above all a superb terrain for hiking. Nestled against the massif du Mont-Blanc, it is a privileged place to observe its giant neighbor. Between its many high-altitude lakes and its trails that lend themselves perfectly to long-distance trekking, one finds a true diversity of landscapes, with a striking contrast between the softness of the verdant meadows and much more mineral slopes.
